The form of the project is generated by a large roof area that encloses the religious congregation in one unifying space. The design captures sunlight and uses it as a spiritual dimension in the architecture to inspire the soul.

The project is part of a wider initiative to promote peace and understanding in the year of tolerance and in memory of Sheikh Zayed.
